Former Roger Waters fans have taken to Twitter to tell how they intend to sell their concert tickets after the Pink Floyd rocker branded Biden a ‘war criminal’ for supporting war efforts the war in Ukraine.
‘Selling my @rogerwaters tickets for Vancouver & Los Angeles. Dude, read #Ukraine history,’ wrote one Twitter user on Sunday, ‘U r Repeating Russian disinformation verbatim, or moron’s FB post.’
Waters, 78, branded Biden – along with every US president since Ronald Reagan – with the provocative title during a montage played at a recent concert.
The British musician then got into a heated debate with CNN host Michael Smerconish over the weekend after the journalist questioned Waters’ decision to include Biden in the provocative segment of his show.
After the interview scores of fans took to Twitter to voice their disapproval for Waters’ position, with one user concisely snarling ‘Old rocker OFF his rocker.’
In addition to announcing they were tossing their tickets, many called Waters out of touch and suggested he stick to making music.
‘What do you expect from a singer? Hardly an authoritative voice; nor indeed, an informed one. Stick to what you’re good at Roger for goodness sake!’ a user tweeted.
Another wrote ‘Roger Waters should stick to the guitar instead of weighing in on geopolitical subjects he clearly knows nothing about. The gall of this cretin telling people to ‘read more’ is like an alcoholic telling a sober person to drink less.’
