OECD annual inflation slows to 2.2% in January 2018

06/03/2018 – Annual inflation in the OECD area slowed to 2.2% in January 2018, compared with 2.3% in December 2017. This slight decrease in the annual rate of inflation was driven by energy prices which grew at a slower pace in January (4.7%), than in the year to December (6.2%). Excluding food and energy, annual inflation also slowed marginally to 1.8%, compared with 1.9% in December. Food price inflation was stable at 2.2% in January 2018.
